Canyon Tree Farms Inc - Beef

Canyon Tree Farms is located in Fort St. James. We raise purebred Black Angus beef. In addition to selling purebred bulls and heifers, we also sell natural beef. Our animals are fed grass, hay and are grain finished - we do not use hormones or steroids. Our animals are butchered at 14 months of age. All of our processing is done by Country Locker. We sell our beef by the side or the whole animal (March - December). You, the customer, decide how your order is cut. The meat is ready for pick up at the beginning of May. During the summer we sell ready to eat sausage products, fresh sausage, jerky and hamburger patties at the Fort St. James Farmer\'s market (May - Sept). Nechako Valley Organics - Veggies (seasonal)

Nechako Valley Organics has organically grown (not certified) potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and cabbage, as well as herbs and flowers. Garlic, leeks, carrots, beets, and lettuce are also available. Increasing employment and horticultural skills for people with disabilities, our produce is planted and tended by special needs members of our community. To increase access to healthy food in our community, Nehckao Valley Organics also provides seasonal vegetables to NeighborLink for use in the food bank and free Wednesday lunches. In addition, NVO has recently formed a partnership wiht Little Valley Farms to market their hormone and antibiotic free beef. Our produce is available at the Vanderhoof Farmer\'s Market. Our greenhouse is located at 2608 Burrard Street in conjunction with the Bean on Burrard Coffee House, which sells organic coffee and light lunches.
